Description
AG-Z Cyclone Separator
Cyclone Water Separator Designed for Removal of Liquid Water & Particulate from Compressed Air & Gases
Overview
The AG-Z is a three-piece aluminum housing that includes swirl vanes. The vanes provide centrifical force, guiding liquid and particulate to the housing wall.
Friction with the housing causes the liquid and particulate to lose part of their kinetic energy and drop out of the higher moving air stream.
This product is used for flow rates of 1,529 m³/h to 2,379 m³/h / 900 to 1,400 scfm related to 7 bar / 100 psig.
How it Works
The swirl vanes force the compressed air to change direction and swirl. During this swirling action, water and oil droplets cannot remain entrained in the compressed air stream because they are too heavy.
The dry, compressed air exits through the center of the AG-Z while the previously aerosolized droplets are collected in the bottom of the housing to be drained away.
